OKLAHOMA STATE 2 P. M . | FEB. 16 | REC HALL Oklahoma State came close to ending Penn State's national title run last season, falling only four points short of the Nittany Lions at the NCAA tournament. The perennial national championship contenders – they've won 34 team titles in their illustrious history – have struggled a bit this year. They were edged by Oklahoma and Minnesota in December and were hammered at Iowa, 24-6, in early January, dropping them to fifth place in the national rankings. But they don't make it to Penn State very often, their last trip having been in February 1996 (a 26-7 victory over coach John Fritz's Nittany Lions). That makes this dual meet a major event. Expect Rec Hall to be at its raucous best as the Lions wind down their dual meet schedule and get ready for NCAAs – where these two programs are likely to cross paths again.
