T
he instant gratification era in college football makes it
easy to forget about talented underclassmen that don't
take center stage in their first season on campus.
Thirteen members of Notre Dame's 24-man No. 3 recruiting
class that signed last February saved a year of eligibility in
2013. More than half of the players that signed letters of intent
in the group, many of them highly ranked prospects, needed
more time to get ready for the college level. That doesn't
mean they won't grow into major contributors at some point
during their careers in South Bend.
