Cooper eager to fulfill 'the Penn State dream' Penn State temporarily grabbed the top spot in Rivals.com's Big Ten re- cruiting rankings a/er linebacker Jake Cooper committed on Feb. 24. If it's up to Cooper, the Nittany Lions will continue to rank among the na- tion's best in the coming months. The three-star prospect from Warminster (Pa.) Archbishop Wood is well-versed in Penn State tradition and wants to add to it by helping bolster the Lions' Class of 2015. As he explains in the following Q&A with BWI assistant editor Tim Owen, Cooper and a few of the other committed prospects have begun to recruit fellow players. You visited Penn State over the winter and didn't commit, but you gave James Franklin your word that you would be back. Can you tell me about your most recent vis- it? What made you decide to make the call? Not too much was di.erent, since I've been up on campus a couple of times. One thing that stood out to me during the [recent] visit was being able to sit down with [defensive co- ordinator] Bob Shoop and [lineback- ers coach] Brent Pry a little longer and watch a little bit of -lm. That's something that stood out to me be- cause Coach Shoop actually brought me through his scheme. I got to see it -rsthand. I got to break a little bit of -lm down with him, which was CLASS OF 2015 HOT LIST NAME POS HT WT HOME SCHOOL Josh Adams Ath. 6-2 200 Warrington, Pa.
