of the development in where we are, so we are going to be able to sort this thing out," Kelly said. "By what we saw to- day, we have got two really good quar- terbacks that are learning. "Malik showed he has some skills, and Everett continues to [develop]." Golson received perhaps the loudest cheer of the game when he took the field for the first time since his semester-long academic suspension. "That is a testament just to the support and to the character of the Notre Dame community," Golson said. "Obviously I had a setback, but for them to receive me like they did, I'm appreciative for it." Junior Chris Brown stood out among a deep, yet inexperienced receiving corps, finishing the game with five receptions for 105 yards, including a 47-yard catch. Junior defensive end Romeo Okwara capped off a strong spring with four tackles and three sacks with a constant presence in the backfield. "We found a role for Romeo, one that I think we feel a lot more comfortable where he is," Kelly said. "He's got to do a good job of taking care of his body and keeping the weight up and doing those things." With the conclusion of spring prac- tice, players will work on strength and conditioning until summer workouts. Fall practice will begin in early August, though a specific date has not yet been determined. ✦ SPRING SCORING SYSTEM BLUE 63, GOLD 58 April 20, 2013 • Attendance: 27,986 Notre Dame Stadium • South Bend, Ind. 1st 2nd 3rd 4th Tot.
