MAY 2014 ■ 7 ■ WOLFPACK CLUB NEWS Congratulations to Tyler Richardson Young on attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. Tyler is the grandson of Clayton (BS '64) and Dru Richardson of Whitakers and the son of Mike and Terri (BS '88) Young of Cary. Tyler will become a third genera- tion Wolfpacker this fall when he pursues a career in Sports Management at NC State. Sarah and Sean Baird, children of Mark ('00) and Anne Baird of Mouans Sartoux, France, were excited to attend their first basketball game between NCSU and Missouri on Dec 28. Ten fun friends were able to see NC State's men's basketball NCAA games on TV while vacationing in Jamaica. How did you become a Wolfpack fan? I have been a Wolfpacker as long as I can remember. Why did you decide to get involved in the Wolfpack Club? It goes back to Charlie Bryant's encouragement, then Bobby Purcell, Brandon Cun- ningham, Chris Combs and many others exposing me to the opportunities of the Wolfpack Club. Why should someone that's not a member join the Wolfpack Club? It is a great opportunity to engage with like-minded individuals in support of Wolfpack Athletics. Being a member connects you in so many ways to the plethora of opportunities within the organization. Do you have any favorite game-day traditions? Football tailgating with family and friends; enjoying the game rivalries and connecting with long time friends at Carter-Finley Stadium. Who is you favorite all-time student athlete? David Thompson, as well as being one of the greatest to play the game of basketball, he con- tinues to proudly represent the Wolfpack and NC State University. Bill Pope Hometown: New Bern, N.C.
