pounds), fellow early enrollee Kalen Mc-
Cain (6-2, 186 pounds) and redshirt sopho-
more Josh Sessoms (6-2, 197 pounds).
"They're big dudes that give you length
and athleticism," Huxtable noted. "It's
good looking back there and seeing guys
with that size. Because they are so athletic
and so rangy, it's going to allow us to do a
few more things."
Pratt in particular turned heads at the
spring game. A four-star recruit accord-
ing to Rivals.com, the former High Point
(N.C.) Central High standout played like
one at the scrimmage, recording eight tack-
les and the contest's lone interception.
Sessoms also impressed with seven tack-
les, including assisting on one for a loss,
and McCain added four hits.
The improving depth at safety is not
matched at corner, which precipitated a
move during spring drills. Redshirt fresh-
man Malcolm Means (6-2, 197 pounds)
was lined up at corner for the scrimmage
after starting spring practices at safety,
his recruited position. Means flashed his
potential at times and had six tackles, in-
cluding running down speedy freshman re-
ceiver Bo Hines from the other side of the
field at the end of a 60-yard catch and run.
Means also added more size to an already
physically imposing group of corners.
The starters were no surprise. Redshirt
junior Juston Burris (6-1, 207 pounds) and
sophomore Jack Tocho (6-1, 196 pounds)
held down the fort like they did for much
of last season. Neither were too involved
statistically at the spring game, piling up a
combined total of three tackles for the Red
team, which dominated the White offense,
giving up just 65 total yards during a 34-0
shutout win for the starters.
Burris and Tocho helped hold the oppos-
Freshman early enrollee Germaine Pratt made eight tackles and notched the lone interception in the Kay Yow Spring Game.
