St. Peter's Prep committal about his decision, saying only that he has a timetable in mind. "I'm thinking about doing something in the next month or so, not exactly sure," he said on April 14. "I want to get my par- ents to Penn State, and that's probably going to be May 5. I want to also get my parents up to Ohio State, too, but that's not set yet." Both Jenkins and Holland will certainly be players to watch closely, but the most notable news of late has centered on the e5ort that the coaching sta5 has been putting in on the road. The coaches have been double-checking to make sure that all of their top remaining targets are a good 4t for the program. In addition, they've been striving to make sure that Penn State hasn't overlooked anyone along the way. During the spring evaluation period, which started April 15, members of Penn State's sta5 have been meeting with the high school coaches of their top remaining 2015 prospects, as well the coaches of promising 2016 prospects. Throughout the evaluation period, the sta5 has also been able to watch players work out. These workouts give the various position coaches a good opportunity to see whether prospects are physically ready to compete at the Football Bowl Subdivi- sion level. It's especially important for quarterbacks to show their potential. Followers of Penn State's recruiting e5orts have known for a while that Brandon Wimbush of Jersey City, N.J., and Brady White of Newhall, Calif., are at the top of the sta5's wish list this year. But for the past few weeks, the Nittany Lions have been focusing most intently on Class of 2016 prospects. Quar- terbacks coach Ricky Rahne has traveled throughout the Northeast to check in on Brandon McIlwain of Newtown, Pa., Jarrett Guarantano of Oradell, N.J., Sonny Abram- son of Sparta, N.J., and Jake Zembiec of Rochester, N.Y. Of those players, only McIlwain had picked up an o5er as of late April, but they are expected to be the sta5's top tar- gets at quarterback as the Nittany Lions head into the Class of 2016 recruiting cycle. ■
