COMMITMENT PROFILE
When Michigan missed on the na-
tion's top-ranked pro-style quarter-
back, five-star UCLA commitment
Josh Rosen of Bellflower (Calif.) St.
John Bosco, and a couple other highly
ranked prospects in the class of 2015,
the staff took a step back and decided
to evaluate every prospect in the na-
tion before choosing which one they'd
offer.
A coast-to-coast search proved that
the best option was right in their back-
yard. Bloomfield Hills (Mich.) Brother
Rice signal-caller Alex Malzone
picked up his Michigan offer May 12
— and immediately committed.
"Ever since Coach [Doug] Nuss-
meier went to Michigan, we've
started to build a great relationship,"
Malzone said. "I know he's had a lot
of success wherever he's been. That's
definitely appealing to me.
