2014 BASKETBALL RECRUITING ISSUE BY CHRIS BALAS M ichigan's coaches have yet to receive their first pledge in the 2015 class, and they haven't been in a hurry to extend more than the three offers they initially doled out last June. One prospect — Franklin, Ohio, five-star guard Luke Kennard (6-5, 180, Rivals. com's No. 13 rising senior nationally) — pledged to Duke in March, leaving two guards on the U-M offer list. He'll have to sit out a year due to NCAA transfer rules, but he said in early May he wants to visit U-M and has begun the process of set- ting up trips. He will have two years of eligibility remaining when he resumes his college career. A "polished and com- plete shooting guard prospect who plays both ends of the floor," accord- ing to Rivals.com's Eric Bossi, he's also started to mature physically and has an ideal two guard frame with good shoulders and long arms. "His specialty remains his jump shooting, but Coleman is becoming a very good midrange scorer and has gotten more explosive attacking the rim," Bossi added, and it's been on display in the spring AAU season, his first with All-Ohio Red on the Nike circuit. He scored 35 points in his first game with the prestigious AAU team that produced former Michigan and STILL SEARCHING Michigan Is Waiting On Its First 2015 Pledge After Filling Up In 2014
