O ne of Michigan's top commits, Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward defensive back Shaun Crawford, is a lifelong Michigan fan. So, it may come as something of a surprise to see him take a look at other programs — even after committing to the Maize and Blue. However, that's exactly the case for the 5-9, 165-pounder. Rivals.com's No. 11 cornerback and No. 106 overall player will see other schools. That visit swing started May 18 with a trip to South Bend to check out the University of Notre Dame. Craw- ford also plans a May visit to Ohio State, and tentatively plans to see the University of Miami (which he had already visited prior to making his Michigan commitment Aug. 23, 2013) once more. While that could mean his unofficial visits lead the U-M coaching staff to ask that he decommits from the Wol- verines before seeing other schools (though they did not have him rescind his commitment prior to seeing Notre Dame), for the time being he is a U-M commit. "I hope he doesn't lose his commit- ment, but he's got to know for sure," John Crawford said.
