Workmen prepare to hoist an illu-
minated sign in the shape of Penn
State's distinctive "chipmunk" logo.
The sign now hangs from the back
of the scoreboard above Beaver
Stadium's north end zone. It's part
of a renovation project aimed at
modernizing the stadium's displays.
The new scoreboards are expected
to be ready for Penn State's home
opener Sept. 6 against Akron.
