Michigan missed out on Avon
(Conn.) Old Farms tight end Chris
Clark in March when he committed
to North Carolina. Fortunately for the
Wolverines, they got a do-over in his
recruitment when he opted to continue
visiting other schools and eventually
decommitted from the Tar Heels.
Round two of the Clark sweep-
stakes concluded June 19 with a
Maize and Blue finish. The No. 4
tight end and No. 146 overall player
nationally according to Rivals.com
gave his commitment to head coach
Brady Hoke while on an unofficial
visit to Ann Arbor.
"Towards the end of the day when
we were leaving — they were into
the mind that I wasn't committing,
so they seemed a little bummed out.
As they were saying goodbye, I told
them that I'd learned a couple new
things throughout the day, and I just
thought that Michigan was the best
spot," Clark explained.
"In case football didn't work out, I
would have an opportunity to get a
great degree, and the people I meet
and connections I make would set
me up for a great future in my life.

410 yards and seven touchdowns in just 10 games as a junior.
