3. Brandon Bell needs to have a
breakout season at the Will outside
linebacker position. He's one of only
three linebackers with starting experi-
ence (Mike Hull and Nyeem Wartman
are the others), and Kline's injury has
eroded the team's depth even further.
Luckily for Penn State, Bell showed
real promise in his start against Wiscon-
sin last November. He ;nished the game
as the Nittany Lions' second-leading
tackler with six stops and caused an in-
terception by C.J. Olaniyan that helped
Penn State pull away from the Badgers in
the third quarter. Bell totaled 15 tackles
in the Lions' last three games, so it's
easy to see why people close to the pro-
gram believe he has the potential to
bring some stability to the linebacker
corps.
4. Anthony Zettel is the key to the
success of the defensive line. He was
the team's most improved player on de-
fense this spring, showing that he was
adapting nicely to his move inside.
"You just have to love the intensity and
aggressive style of play he brings," de-
fensive line coach Sean Spencer said.
"His style of play ;ts in perfectly with
the type of defense we want to play this
fall."
