FAN FORUM
The fans will continue to support these
programs. Those schools willing to
shell out the bucks for the best coaches
will inevitably produce the most wins.
They will continue to get the best
players. Bowl games will continue to
be an attractive end to a successful
season. The football factories (I am not
referring to Notre Dame) will continue
to dominate while at the same time
seeing their players graduate. The same
applies to basketball and other sports.
There is an opportunity here to get
things on track.
These are educational institutions.
Football, basketball, etc., are extra-
curricular activities that have become
crowd-pleasers and which draw a lot of
interest. So be it! Let's get it right!

BIDING TIME
Looking at the 2014 schedule, 8-4,
9-3 will be a good season.
When you look at the talent, though,
I believe next year is the year. Better
playing conditions, more experience
and after seeing the spring game, I
won't be surprised if Malik Zaire is the
starter — big, quick and a nice arm.
When I saw that they signed him I
was disappointed that they went after
a "small school" kid.
If Everett Golson is the starter, it's
comforting to know that there doesn't
appear to be a drop-off in talent.
Comparing 2012 to 2013, there
were a lack of injuries in 2012 and last
season Notre Dame was riddled with
them. Stuff happens.
Here's to praying for a healthy
season and a year away.

Malik Zaire's progress at quarterback has been
encouraging for the present and especially the
future.
