Burns had scheduled a Sept. 6 visit
to Notre Dame for the Michigan foot-
ball game and originally wanted to
take in the experience before deciding
on a destination, but that plan changed
in mid-July.
"I thought Notre Dame led, but I
wanted to visit and figure out a few
things," he said. "I researched schools,
talked to my coach and my family and
thought that was the place for me."

Strengths
Elijah Burns is a versatile player, which is ex-
actly what the Irish need to add to compete in
the ACC … Can guard a small forward or even
defend a center in the paint … A good — but not
great — rebounder … Possesses a high basket-
ball IQ and makes teammates better.
Areas For Improvement
Needs to improve his jump shooting and drib-
bling … Will likely take a year before he can
fully match up against some of the ACC's better
players.
