With the coaching staff making sure that the majority of its focus was on the home opener, James Franklin and his assistants kept its list of visitors to roughly 15, most of whom were com- mitted prospects in the classes of 2015 and '16. However, there were two prospects in attendance who Nittany Lion fans should keep an eye on going forward, one of whom was DeMatha junior offensive lineman J.P. Urquidez. AAer originally stating that he was leaning toward Texas and Baylor, the 6-foot-6, 293-pound tackle from Hyattsville, Md., noted ear- lier this week that he's really focused on six schools in particular: Penn State, LSU, Florida State, Oklahoma, Baylor and Texas. With a visit to Baylor set for Nov. 1, Urquidez plans to shiA his focus toward visiting the other four programs in his top six over the next few months, mean- ing Saturday's trip has the potential to be his only one to State College this season. For now, the Rivals250 member is saying that he has no timeline for a decision, but it's no secret that Urquidez is well ahead of most prospects his age at this stage in the process, so it wouldn't be surprising if he were to make a decision sometime in the months following his junior sea- son. The other top prospect in attendance was athlete Trevon Diggs of Gaithers- burg, Md. If the name sounds familiar, that's because he's the brother of former five-star recruit and current Maryland wide receiver Stefon Diggs. At present, the Terrapins appear to be the favorites for the younger Diggs, who's currently ranked the 172nd-best prospect in the nation by Rivals.com. But Penn State isn't far behind, especially aAer Satur- day's game. "I really enjoyed it," Diggs said. "I met with the coaches a little bit, and I was impressed with their fans, too. Penn State has great fans. Shane [Simmons] was there, too. He's a good friend, so spending the day with him up there, see- ing everything, that was a lot of fun.
