FOOTBALL RECRUITING Michigan needs in 2015 at the posi- tion, there are some players who fall into a "want" category that U-M might still entertain. JOHNNY FRASIER Princeton (N.C.) High School 5-11, 200 pounds • Florida State commit No. 20 tailback and No. 175 overall player nationally Frasier committed to Florida State in early August, but has left the door open for other schools to remain in the mix. One of the first running backs Michigan offered in the 2015 class, he tentatively plans to take an official visit to Ann Arbor if the U-M staff will host him. He's a bruising in- side back with sub-11-second speed in the 100-meter dash, a tantalizing combination. JACQUES PATRICK Orlando (Fla.) Timber Creek 6-1, 224 pounds No. 2 tailback and No. 17 overall player nationally Michigan was in on Patrick early, but the Maize and Blue have faded somewhat for the five-star runner. He has family in the Detroit are, and has made several past visits to cam- pus. He may return again this fall for an unofficial visit. He is a true power back whose speed is good enough to get the job done in the secondary at the high school level. WIDE RECEIVER Commits: 1 Needs Remaining: 0-1 The state's top player is a Michigan commit — Saginaw Heritage ath- lete Brian Cole. He is ranked No. 5 among athletes nationally and is con- sidered the No. 89 overall player in the country by Rivals.com. He will be a slot receiver at Michigan, though he's also capable of employing his 6-2, 190-pound frame at the safety position. Michigan initially pursued tow- ering outside receivers in the 2015 class, and while Cole is a nice slot op- tion — with great size for the position — that downfield pro-style receiving threat has yet to commit to the Wol- verines in this class. While Michigan can live without one, given the likely Orlando (Fla.) Timber Creek standout Jacques Patrick, the No. 2 tailback and No. 17 overall prospect in the class of 2015 according to Rivals.com, has family in the Detroit area and has made several visits to Ann Arbor in the past.
