FOOTBALL RECRUITING to come up. It really has me thinking about Notre Dame." As a junior, Brown racked up 56 tackles, five sacks and three fumble recoveries. He is rated by 247Sports as a four-star recruit, the No. 6 player in Georgia, the No. 5 weakside defensive end nationally and the No. 40 overall prospect in the class of 2015. With the recent shoulder injury to safety Nicky Baratti, a setback that po- tentially could end his career at Notre Dame, a scholarship might open up for the Irish in the 2015 class. A slew of offers went out to mul- tiple defensive backs after the news of Baratti broke, and San Diego St. Au- gustine four-star safety Frank Bun- com IV received his offer Sept. 19. A young man focused on academics, Buncom is looking hard at the likes of Notre Dame, Stanford, Duke and Vanderbilt. Sources close to his recruit- ment have confirmed that Buncom is looking at attending a school rich in success, both on and off the field. One source stated that the reason he hasn't made a commitment up until this point is because he was waiting for an offer from Notre Dame. The offer is now on the table, and this situation could begin to heat up in a big way. As a junior, the 6-1, 190-pounder re- corded 91 tackles and two intercep- tions at defensive back. He added 21 receptions for 261 yards and two touchdowns at wide receiver. Buncom, who is rated as the No. 11 cornerback in the nation, is being re- cruited to play safety at Notre Dame. 247Sports also lists him as the No. 17 recruit in California and the No. 117 overall player in the class of 2015. Notre Dame has long been consid- ered one of the favorites to land Ana- heim (Calif.) Servite four-star wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown. Stan- ford and USC round out his top three, Notre Dame is among the favorites to land Anaheim (Calif.) Servite star Equanimeous St. Brown, who is ranked as a four-star prospect, the No. 23 wide receiver in the land and the No. 213 overall player in the class of 2015 by 247Sports.
