COME OUT SMOKIN'
Prior to Notre Dame's 31‑0 shutout of Michigan Sept. 6, players ran out
of the tunnel with smoke on each side as a new addition to the pregame
festivities. Although the smoke won't be used every game, Notre Dame has
left open the possibility of repeating the ritual in future weeks.
The addition was reminiscent of Miami's famed football entrance
through the tunnel with smoke welcoming players to the field.
