BY TOM LOY When Cincinnati Elder offensive tackle Tommy Kraemer burst onto the recruiting scene, many pegged the four-star prospect as an Ohio State lock. However, once the 6-5, 305-pounder took an unofficial visit to Notre Dame on June 11 and spent time with offensive line coach Harry Hiestand, Kraemer knew where he was going to end up. "It was between Notre Dame and Ohio State, but it wasn't that close," the class of 2016 prospect said. "I was all Notre Dame since the first time I visited there. "On the way home when we got off campus, I looked at my dad and told him that I want to commit right away. He calmed me down and asked me to take my time and not rush into the decision. Then we came back for the Michigan game, and I asked if I can do it now and he said to just hold off until we come back for the Stanford game. He said that if I still want to be at Notre Dame, then go ahead and commit that weekend. Irish Land Elite 2016 Offensive Tackle COMMITMENT PROFILE TOMMY KRAEMER 247Sports lists Kraemer as the No. 37 overall player in the country, the No. 8 offensive tackle in the land and the No. 3 prospect in Ohio from the class of 2016.
