MICHIGAN RECRUITING ered the runner-up for his services: North Carolina State. Roseboro, a 6-4, 283-pound multi- purpose lineman, is ranked as the No. 6 defensive tackle and No. 42 overall player in the nation by Ri- vals.com. Both Michigan and North Carolina State prefer him on the edge of the defense, where his size and ex- plosiveness combine to allow him to play both the run and the pass. The decommitment came on the heels of Michigan's 2-2 start, but ac- cording to Rivals.com Mid-Atlantic recruiting analyst Adam Friedman, it was foreseeable as soon as he spurned the in-state school. "How much he liked NC State, and if that was enough to beat Michigan, wasn't the same before his commitment," Friedman said. "This is clearly a reaction to the way Michigan's season is going and the reported instability of the coaching staff." With Roseboro out of the mix — ex- actly a month after joining it Aug. 29 — Michigan's 2015 class returned to its previous state, with just 10 mem- bers. The class ranked No. 29 nation- ally as of Oct. 20, though Michigan did have at least four pledges fewer than every program ranked ahead of it. WOLVERINES SEEK OFFENSIVE LINEMEN Michigan's coaches have two of- fensive lineman committed in the 2015 class, and that's a good start to a signing group. Lawrenceville (N.J.) School four-star Grant Newsome is a 6-7, 280-pounder that has a true left tackle body. He is ranked y Rivals. com as the No. 21 offensive tackle and No. 199 overall player nationally. Philadelphia St. Joseph's Prep three- star Jon Runyan Jr. is less highly re- garded (he is a three-star prospect and the No. 39 offensive guard in the country according to Rivals.com), but the 6-5, 270-pounder has good bloodlines — his father, John Sr., is a former U-M All-America left tackle and a longtime NFL player. Michigan likely needs one more offensive lineman in the 2015 class. The Wolverines only signed two line- men in 2014, and with Mason Cole Reisterstown (Md.) Franklin four-star Pat Allen, who is rated as the No. 17 offensive tackle and No. 170 overall recruit nationally by Rivals.com, made an official visit to Ann Arbor the final weekend of September, but he remains unlikely to flip his commitment from Georgia to U-M.
