In the offseason, men's basketball head coach Tony Bennett and strength and conditioning coach Mike Curtis challenged him to drop 15 pounds. It wasn't that they thought Anderson was overweight. They just thought he'd be more effective at a lighter weight, a la NBA players LeBron James and Car- melo Anthony.
