MICHIGAN FOOTBALL tragic on a national scale … we all need to do something about it. Being a husband, being a father, having two sisters, it's a message I send strongly to our football team about how we will handle ourselves with women. "We speak about it constantly, be- lieve me, at least four times a year. We have people from the university come in. I've told our guys since day one that it won't be tolerated in this program." Hoke said he found out about Clark's arrest around 8 a.m. Nov. 16, at which point he set out to get both sides of the story. He had yet to speak to Clark as of 12:30 Monday, but said he would. "Obviously, Frank's going to deal with significant consequences," Hoke said. "But at the same time, I'm going to support Frank to get back on his feet and to keep growing as a man." Clark could be jailed for six months and fined $1,000 if convicted, accord- ing to reports. This is Clark's second significant run-in with the law. He pled guilty to a second-degree felony charge for home invasion in 2012 after stealing a laptop from a dorm room and was given a second chance by Hoke, sus- pended for the season opener that year. Since he was under age 21, he was sentenced under the Holmes Youthful Training Act and the con- viction was expunged after a year of probation and payment of more than $1,700 in fines. "I don't feel burned by anything," Hoke said. "I feel it's something that just can't be tolerated. I think you've got 18- to 22-year-olds … we have a standard that we believe in and what I believe in is how you represent your- self, and more importantly how you represent this program. "That's one of the things we talk about is I'm going to make decisions that are best for this program — not a person, not for a coach, what's best for this program. I don't feel burned … that's part of mentoring, and you feel like you failed a little bit, let's put it that way." Clark notched 42 tackles, 12.5 tack- les for loss and 4.5 sacks this year. HANLON: MICHIGAN PLAYING HARD TO THE FINISH Former Michigan assistant coach Jerry Hanlon has seen a lot of seasons come and go around The Big House. Some are easier to let go of, and this one falls into that category. With that said, Brady Hoke's 5-5 Wolverines have continued to play 2014 Football Schedule Date Opponent Time/Result Aug. 30 Appalachian State W, 52-14 Sept. 6 at Notre Dame L, 31-0 Sept. 13 Miami (Ohio) W, 34-10 Sept. 20 Utah L, 26-10 Sept. 27 Minnesota L, 30-14 Oct. 4 at Rutgers L, 26-24 Oct. 11 Penn State W, 18-13 Oct. 25 at Michigan State L, 11-35 Nov. 1 Indiana W, 34-10 Nov. 8 at Northwestern W, 10-9 Nov. 22 Maryland 3:30 pm Nov. 29 at Ohio State 12:00 pm
