dam Breneman can't get comfortable.
Bursting with restless energy, the Penn
State tight end squirms in his seat, raps his
'ngers on the table in front of him and al-
ternates between a forward lean and laid-back
slouch.
This is a decidedly unnatural state for the 19-
year-old Breneman, who is sitting out the 2014
season while recovering from a knee injury.
"I get antsy all the time," he admits.
Breneman was sidelined only a few days into the
Nittany Lions' preseason camp, bringing an end to
his highly anticipated sophomore season before it
had even begun. It was an unwelcome detour in a
career path that had seemed headed in a very prom-
ising direction, and Breneman is still coming to
terms with it. "As much as I love watching the guys
play this year," he said, "every game I watch, I'm
just like, 'I can't wait until next year.' It's de'nitely
been an interesting fall so far."
