Notre Dame advanced to take on Texas in the second round Nov. 21 in College Station, Texas. MEN'S SWIMMING The Irish outswam Michigan State 171-127 Nov. 14. Senior James McEldrew won both the 200-yard backstroke and the 400-yard individual medley. WOMEN'S SWIMMING Notre Dame topped Illinois in 10 of 16 events to beat the Illini 157-143 in a dual meet Nov. 14.
