Kinston Senior Brandon
Ingram Elects To Wait
Kinston (N.C.) High senior small for‑
ward Brandon Ingram methodically went
through the recruiting process, but then
elected not to sign during the November
signing period (Nov. 12‑19).
Ingram was NC State's lone target that
was potentially ready to sign, and his deci‑
sion to wait until April was surprising.
NC State will still be full‑steam ahead
in recruiting the talented 6‑8, 180‑pounder,
who Rivals.com ranks No. 18 overall in
the country in the class of 2015. Gottfried
and assistant coach Rob Moxley have es‑
sentially been recruiting Ingram since his
freshman year.
Ingram has narrowed his list to NC State,
Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, UCLA and North
Carolina. He officially visited all but the
Wolfpack at various points, dating back all
the way to last January.
Ingram officially visited UNC Jan. 24‑26,
2014, and then he went to Duke Aug. 7‑9.
The next two official visits included go‑
ing to Late Night in the Phog at Kansas
Oct. 10‑12 and Big Blue Madness at Ken‑
tucky Oct. 17‑19, which included the rapper
Drake.
Ingram capped his hectic fall by check‑
ing out UCLA Oct. 24‑26. He also had
in‑home visits with all six colleges in
September.
