UNDER THE DOME snared eight passes for 99 yards and two scores — and had a third TD in the closing seconds wiped out because of a controversial pass interference call against the offense. In addition, Robinson serves on the football team's unity council, is a member of the University's Student Government Executive Cabinet, and participates on both the athletic department's Chris- tian Athletes Advisory Council and with its Rosenthal Leader- ship Academy. He also is the chair of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council's IrishOn3 initiative. Since this honor 's debut in 1952, Notre Dame has produced 241 Academic All-America selec- tions in all sports, which ranks second all time to the Univer- sity of Nebraska. The Irish have fielded 59 Academic All-America recipients in football, which ranks third all time. To be eligible for Capital One Academic All-America consider- ation, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade- point average of at least 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sopho- more athletic and academic status at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director. The Notre Dame football program shared the 2014 American Football Coaches Association Academic Achievement Award with Duke Northwestern and Stanford, with all four institutions recording a 100 percent graduation rate for members of its freshman football student-athlete class of 2007. — Lou Somogyi Robinson was Notre Dame's second-leading receiver this season with 40 catches for 539 yards and five scores, and he also posted a 3.83 grade-point average.
