oug Skene sports no fewer
than five Big Ten champion-
ship rings, a piece of jewelry
not seen in Ann Arbor over
the past decade. He's also a strong
proponent of power football, the type
Michigan used in running over op-
ponents when he played from 1988-92.
Skene has witnessed plenty of Jim
Harbaugh football, from Stanford to
the San Francisco 49ers. He weighed in
on what Michigan fans should antici-
pate, schematically, from a Harbaugh-
coached band of Wolverines.
The Wolverine: What do you expect
from Harbaugh-led teams at Michi-
gan?
Skene: "I don't think his approach
is going to be any different than the
way he coached at San Diego, the way
he coached at Stanford, the way he
coached for the 49ers. He's going to
want to assemble a dominating offen-
sive front, get an H-back or fullback
who is a linebacker killer, and you're
