De- spite the fact that the Nittany Lions re- cruited four cornerbacks last year, I believe Reid will see action this coming fall. He has the potential to become a three-year starter. KEVIN REIHNER (graduate transfer) Reihner was one of two offensive line re- cruits in the Cardinal's 19-member re- cruiting class of 2011. He was recruited by Stanford as an offensive guard, but ended up playing center, ranking second on the depth chart last year. Reihner will arrive on Penn State's campus in mid- May at the start of the school's first summer semester. He's expected to compete for playing time at the center position in preseason practice. ANDRE ROBINSON Some analysts may be sleeping on Robinson because he missed a significant portion of his senior season. I believe they are making a mistake. Robinson rushed for more than 2,300 yards as a junior and was named the PIAA Class AAA Offensive Player of the Year. The only reason he didn't win that distinction as a senior is because of the bone bruise that kept him out for six games. He still rushed for more than 1,500 yards, so one can only imagine what his total might have been had he remained healthy for the entire season. Robinson weighs over 200 pounds and runs with power be- tween the tackles, yet he also has 4.5- second 40-yard speed. He's one of several true and redshirt freshmen who are expected to compete for playing time behind Akeel Lynch this fall. TOMMY STEVENS Stevens is a dual- threat QB who should fit in well with the system James Franklin wants to run. His passing numbers, which included a completion rate of nearly 60 percent last fall, were impressive. But the coaching staff is really going to like the fact that he can also make plays with his feet when necessary. Stevens has excel- lent size, and he is an accurate passer both in the pocket and when rolling out. Although he enrolled at Penn State in January, he is expected to redshirt this fall. He is a solid replacement for Brandon Wimbush, the New Jer- sey prospect who de-committed from Penn State and recently signed with Notre Dame. GARRETT TAYLOR Taylor ex- pects to be physically ready for preseason practice and may have a chance to compete for playing time this fall. He's a tall cornerback with outstanding speed and ball reac- tions. I saw a lot of cornerbacks on film this past year, and he was among the best at providing run support – a dis- tinction that is all the more impressive considering that the tape was from his junior season. Penn State is deep at cor- nerback, but I think it's possible that Taylor will see action in 2015. ROBERT WINDSOR This was a very important signing for the Nittany Lions. They needed a defensive tackle following Adam McLean's de-commit- ment and Christian Wilkins' decision to sign with Clemson. Windsor reminds me of redshirt sophomore defensive tackle Parker Cothren. Like Cothren, he has the frame to carry more than 290 pounds. He also has excellent quick- ness, uses his hands well to disengage from blockers and is an extremely disci- plined player. I expect him to redshirt this coming fall. MILLER TIME Shareef Miller was one of the last players to commit to Penn State, joining the Nittany Lions class in January. Photo courtesy of Rivals.com
