2015 RECRUITING ISSUE mother and told her that he felt ready to make a commitment to Notre Dame. "Everything in the conversation was, 'Here's why to come' and 'Here's why not to come. … Get ready for change,' " he noted. That decision, while made in the spur of the moment, was not made lightly. Even while other schools continued to pursue him, Wallace maintained pub- licly and privately that there would be no change of heart. "Definitely keeping my word [is my proudest achievement to date]," he said. "I kept my word to Coach Kelly that if I committed then that's where I wanted to be and that I was comfort- able with it. This is what I'm happy with." Wallace developed a close bond with defensive backs coach Kerry Cooks, who departed for the Oklahoma staff just prior to National Signing Day. BGI FILM ANALYSIS: BO WALLACE Strengths Exactly what the Irish are looking for in a speed rusher … He has a terrific burst off the edge, and is athletic enough to play defensive end and linebacker … His tall, long frame will al- low him to easily put on weight at the next level … He's tough and physical with a great motor, but is also very smooth and fluid … Has a variety of moves when rushing the passer … Displays above average speed … Praised for his work ethic and leadership qualities. Areas For Improvement His size, strength and weight need to increase before he earns significant reps at the collegiate level … He is a likely redshirt candidate based on size alone … Struggles against athletes with more mass due to current size … Needs to im- prove in his knowledge of the defensive end position and the nuances of the game.
