James Conner and wide receiver Ty- ler Boyd had sensational sophomore campaigns to earn first-team All-ACC accolades. Conner finished seventh nationally in rushing yards (1,765) and third in rushing touchdowns (26), while Boyd's 78 receptions averaged 16.2 yards per catch. Chad Voytik re- turns at QB. Not one member of the Pitt defense last year made the three All-ACC units, nor even received honorable mention notice. SUMMARY: The Notre Dame-Pitt clash has been a one-score game in each of the last six meetings, dating back to 2008, with the Panthers pulling the 28- 21 upset in 2013. BOSTON COLLEGE (7-6) REVIEWING 2014: A heartbreaking 31- 30 loss in overtime to Penn State in Pitt features 250-pound running back James Connor, who finished seventh nationally in rushing yardage (1,765) and third in rushing touchdowns (26) in 2014.
