2015 RECRUITING ISSUE BGI: That running back referenced by Lemming — Dexter Williams — has a chance to play this season with just three other scholarship ball carriers on the ros- ter, but he wasn't the only signee that the panel tapped as a potential contributor in year one. Simmons: "Aliz'e Jones and CJ Sanders both have a chance to make an impact next season. Both are too good to keep off the field, and both have their own style. Sanders is a quick and dangerous slot receiver with big-play ability. Jones has the size and skill set to create mis- matches right away flexing out from the tight end position." Farrell: "I think one of the wide receiv- ers might make a quick impact, most likely Sanders because he's a slot. It's easier to shorten the route tree for him, and that seems to be an area of early impact where he can learn from some- one like Will Fuller. "I'd say Jones could impact early as well if he's focused — he's a natural tal- ent. One or two of the defensive tackles will see early time as well, probably Micah Dew-Treadway or Brandon Ti- assum." Lemming: "Usually it's the skill position players that get on the field, so I would say Jones at tight end or maybe Equa- nimeous St. Brown and Miles Boykin at wide receiver. Those three seem to fit the mold." BGI: Head coach Brian Kelly said Notre Dame was going to pass on a quarterback until the staff saw the tape of Brandon Wimbush through his first couple games of his senior season. The panel agreed that he's a luxury they couldn't pass on. Farrell: "He can be a great fit in this of- fense because he's a pass-first quarter- back who can also extend the play, run around a bit and has good speed and durability for planned running plays. He had a great senior season, but has been inconsistent at the big events. "I think a redshirt year would be best, but it's unlikely that will happen. I think they will get him some playing time to get his feet wet early." Simmons: "Wimbush has one of the strongest arms in this class. I really like who he is off the field, too. He seems to have a great head on his shoulders, he is a leader, and he takes everything in stride. Not only does he have the arm on the field, but he has good mobility.
