THEY SAID IT Brian Kelly's Comments: "We think he's the fin- est tight end in the country, and we've had some great tight ends here. He's going to be another one of the great tight ends that have played here at Notre Dame." Tom Lemming Of Prep Football Report: "He's the No. 1 tight in the country. I've watched him the past three years. He is the sort of tight end that looks like a wide receiver. He's gaining some weight. He's an instant impact player as a fresh- man, in my opinion. He's a great blocker, with great hands and the kind of speed that can keep a defense honest. After he catches the ball over the middle he can run away from linebackers for sure." Bishop Gorman High School head coach Kenny Sanchez's Comments: "The sky's the limit for him. He's big, strong, fast. Not a lot of athletes like that come around all that often." Why He Chose Notre Dame: "This was about my future. The coaches are great, the players are great and getting that degree — that's big."
