2015 RECRUITING ISSUE more concerned about what his team was doing on the field and in workouts. As a sophomore in 2012, he anchored an offensive line that was a key compo- nent to a 13-1 season that ended with a loss in the Class 6A state title game. His junior season was full of growing pains as a team, but his senior campaign was a different story. Ruhland blocked for an offense that racked up 4,377 rush- ing yards en route to a 13-1 season that ended with a three-point loss in the Class 7A state title game. Seaburg said that Ruhland's leader- ship and passion for the game ware two of the main reasons that Cary Grove was able to make that run. Ruhland agreed. "I have been a winner my whole life," Ruhland said. "I have high expectations for myself and my team. I think being able to win games and play for a team like I did in high school, only prepared me for the best." While Ruhland looks destined for a redshirt season because of his knee in- jury, he claims that's a role he's willing to accept. BGI FILM ANALYSIS: TREVOR RUHLAND Strengths His physicality and toughness are hard to match … Has a hard-nosed, blue-collar, old- school style of play … Good run blocker … Keeps a low pad level … Uses his hands well and is very strong … Loves getting his hands on his oppo- nent, and it's usually over at that point. Areas For Improvement Overall athleticism could use some improve- ment … Can be somewhat stiff at times … More suited to be a guard … Pass blocking and foot- work need more consistency.
