Date Of Official Visit To Michigan: Jan. 27, 2015. QUOTABLE Jim Harbaugh's Comments: " Ty- rone is an exemplary young man who has demonstrated his outstanding work ethic time and time again. He shares the name of an outstanding football player, but Tyrone Jr. is chart- ing his own path as a student-athlete. "He is a big, physical player who will help our offense in a number of ways. Tyrone is a leader and carries himself with a quiet confidence. He burns with a tremendous competitive edge, and that will fit in exceptionally well here at Michigan on the field and in his studies. We believe he will experience incredible growth here in Ann Arbor." Tom Lemming of Prep Football Re- port: "He had to, with his dad coach- ing at Michigan, end up there. Michi- gan is best for him, too. I thought he played better at defensive end than tight end, and he might be the best player in the class. He's got much greater length than his dad, he's a premier ballplayer and a near five-star player." Why Wheatley Jr. Chose Michi- gan: "I chose Michigan because it was the best place for me. I get a great opportunity to go some place that I know and that I'm connected to. I want the chance to turn the program back around with my dad. My family is all going to be there so I can watch my brother and sisters grow up. Obvi- ously, I'll be able to get a really great degree from an amazing school, too."
