WOMEN'S SWIMMING AND DIVING (9-2 OVERALL, 7-0 BIG TEN) No. 19 Michigan completed its first undefeated Big Ten campaign since 2007-08 (4-0) and was seeking its first conference crown since 2003-04 when it headed to Columbus Feb. 18-21 … The Wolverines feature three of the na- tion's top 10 400-yard freestyle swim- mers in freshman Gillian Ryan (second, 4:14.80), rookie Hannah Moore (third, 4:15.54) and sophomore Celia Keany (seventh, 4:25.26) … Ryan also sported the nation's fifth-fastest time in the 500- yard freestyle (4:37.78) and was sixth in the 1,650-yard freestyle (15:54.31), while Moore has the seventh-fastest 1,000-yard freestyle (9:43.98). WOMEN'S TRACK AND FIELD Hosting the Silverston Invitational Feb. 21, No. 20 Michigan has competed in six events leading up to the Big Ten Indoor Championships Feb. 27-28 … U-M ranks fifth in the Great Lakes re- gion … The Wolverines' distance med- ley relay team boasted the seventh- fastest time in the country this year (11:00.20), while individually junior Cindy Ofili is No. 2 in the 60-meter hur- dles (8.08 seconds), sophomore Erin Finn is 10th in the 5,000-meter run (15:52.11) and 19th in the 3,000-meter run (9:11.10), senior Brook Handler is 17th in the mile (4:37.68) and junior Shannon Osika is No. 18 in the mile (4:37.91). WATER POLO (5-4 OVERALL) No. 15 Michigan went 3-1 at the Tri- ton Invitational Feb. 7-8, including wins over No. 16 UC Davis and No. 18 UC Santa Barbara … The Maize and Blue are in their first season under head coach Dr. Marcelo Leonardi … Junior Ali Thomason leads the Wolverines in goal scoring with 12 markers through Feb. 16, while junior Presley Pender is second with 11 and senior Elizabeth Williams is third with nine … Williams and freshman Caroline Anderson rank first in points, with 22 each. ❑
