MARCH 2015 ■ 55 Wilson's emergence as a consistent scorer — she'd had only five games under double figures — has been a boon to a Pack team that not only has had to replace 60-percent of its offensive output from last season, but has lost Barrett, junior wing Ashley Eli and freshman guard Chloe Jack- son to injury, and freshman center Sara Boric to ineligibility. "Dominique has always had the ability to penetrate, and she's worked hard at becom- ing consistent with her outside shot," Hill noted. "She's more a two-guard, so she's been playing out of position, but it's been an advantage because not many teams have as quick a guard combination as us. She needs to improve her rebounding and de- fense, but any time you have a player who can average double figures scoring in the ACC, that's a player you can build off of and continue to work to get better." A sports management major concentrat- ing on computer science, Wilson has the usual aspirations of playing professionally — and then following her patents into some computer-related field. Her goals for her final two years in Raleigh are, she admits, "a big dream." Foremost would be winning an NCAA championship for a program that's never advanced past the Final Four. "My middle school and high school both became champions while I was there," she pointed out, "so I hope we can do the same here. But I just hope to be remembered as a player who would do anything to help her team be successful." ■ Through Feb. 22, Wilson was averaging a team-high 13.9 points per game, while chipping in 3.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest.
