he daylight savings time theme
of "spring forward" one hour in
the spring was applied to Notre
Dame's football program this
March.
Spring practice was scheduled to
open March 2. That was sprung for-
ward to March 18, with the Blue-
Gold Game still in place April 18. The
change came on the heels of upheaval
in the Notre Dame football offices this
February with the sudden departure
of assistant coaches Tony Alford (run-
ning backs), Kerry Cooks (defensive
backs) and Matt LaFleuer (quarter-
backs).
Thus, March 2 was instead used to
introduce four new assistants in Autry
Head coach Brian Kelly welcomes back 18 starters on offense and defense in 2015, the most in his six
seasons at Notre Dame.
