from Viera, Fla. As of this writing, he was still planning his spring visit schedule. No. 194 TREVON DIGGS Diggs has vis- ited State College four times since the start of the 2014 season, including a trip in December to watch a bowl practice. Some considered Maryland to be the leader for the wide receiver prospect, but he re- cently cited Alabama as his favorite. Penn State is in good position, as well. Florida, Florida State, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia Tech and Tennessee are a few of the schools he may check out in the spring or summer. No. 201 CLARK YARBROUGH Yar- brough is another o8ensive line prospect with whom Penn State 7nds itself in good position early. A:er his visit for the Michi- gan State game last November, he said the Nittany Lions "de7nitely separated themselves from a lot of other schools." He's since visited Virginia and Duke. Look for him to potentially visit PSU again this spring. No. 212 JAKE ZEMBIEC Zembiec com- mitted to Penn State while on campus for the team's regular-season 7nale vs. Michi- gan State. He's since held strong to his commitment and returned to campus Jan. 31. A four-star quarterback, he's consid- ered the No. 1 prospect in New York. No. 227 ROBBIE ROBINSON Recruited by Penn State as a cornerback, Robinson has developed into one of the top athletes on the East Coast. He visited for the Nit- tany Lions' game vs. Maryland last fall. His most recent visits were to Clemson and Maryland. Penn State is hoping to get him back on campus before the end of spring practice. No. 230 JORDAN FULLER Fuller visited Penn State on Nov. 1 for its game vs. Mary- land and returned to campus when PSU hosted some of its top 2016 prospects on Jan. 31. During the latter visit, the coaches piqued his interest by explaining that they view him as a return specialist at the col- lege level. PSU is in good position, but Ohio State, Notre Dame, Rutgers, Ten- nessee, Duke, South Carolina, Michigan, Michigan State, Syracuse and UCLA will provide sti8 competition. No. 232 MESSIAH deWEAVER Previ- ously committed to Michigan, deWeaver opened things back up after the Wolver- ines' coaching change. He now speaks regularly with coaches from Michigan State, Kentucky, Florida, Ohio State and Penn State. The Lions would like to sign two quarterbacks in 2016, so they're hop- ing to get deWeaver on campus this spring. No. 236 JULIAN SANTOS A Florida na- tive, Santos received an o8er in January from Penn State assistant Josh Gattis. Santos doesn't have immediate plans to visit University Park, but he is not crossing the Nittany Lions o8 his list. An o8ensive guard, he visited Florida, Florida State and UCF in the fall and intends to check out North Carolina and Clemson this spring. No. 242 WILL FRIES With the latest update to the Rivals250, Fries is now con- sidered a four-star o8ensive lineman. But Penn State has been recruiting him since he was a three-star player. He's already been on campus twice this winter – for a December bowl practice and then again on Jan. 31. He needs to see some schools this spring, but we still believe that Penn State should be one of Fries' top schools once he begins to narrow things down. He has said he plans to take all 7ve of his o9cial visits, but if he really wants to be a Nittany Lion, he might have to make a decision by late summer. No. 247 MICHAEL JORDAN Jordan earned a Penn State o8er earlier this winter, but he hasn't said much about the Nittany Lions since then. Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State appear to be the early frontrunners to sign the o8en- sive line prospect. No. 248 KHALID KAREEM Kareem com- mitted to Michigan State during a recent visit but quickly backtracked, reopening his recruitment a:er talking it over with his family. He says he's eying a visit to Penn State this spring, but it's going to be di9cult for PSU to pull the Farmington Hills, Mich., defensive end away from the four Midwestern schools at the top of his list: Michigan State, Michigan, Ohio State and Notre Dame. ■ Ryan Snyder contributed to this story.
