BASKETBALL RECRUITING fessional contract in Germany, but he came in for a March 7 visit and picked up an offer from Beilein. The visit went well, and it now appears Michigan will very likely be his school if he chooses to play in the United States over signing with Alba Berlin. Playing college ball is still his preference. NBA scouts told Rivals.com's Eric Bossi that Wagner is listed at 6‑10, but is closer to 6‑8. His shot looks good and he's very good in pick and pop situations between 12 and 17 feet. He has a good skill level (though he's perhaps a bit mechani‑ cal in his movements at this time), and he's a good high post passer who competes on both ends but needs strength. "He's on the NBA radar, but not as an early entry guy just yet," Bossi said. "He's more on radar as some‑ body to monitor when he makes it to a college program." He'd be a top‑20 to top‑40 prospect as an American prep, Bossi said. "He's up in the air on further visits at this point," Bossi said. "He's not likely to decide by early to mid‑April [late signing period]. There is a push from some around him to sign a con‑ tract and play pro ball in Germany, but he wants college as a way to try and get to the NBA." Wagner is the only class of 2015 prospect with a Michigan offer, though Williams College transfer and forward Duncan Robinson and red‑ shirt forward D.J. Wilson will also be added to the 2015‑16 roster for their first year of eligibility. MICHIGAN STILL WORKING ON POINT GUARDS IN THE 2016 CLASS Michigan's top two point guard prospects in the junior class continue to play well. Detroit U‑D Jesuit's Cassius Winston (6‑0, Rivals.com's No. 33 junior nationally) led his team to a Class A district title March 13, scoring 15 of his game‑high 34 points for the 19‑3 Cubs in a 64‑60 win over Southfield (Mich.) High. That came after he put up 30 in a 66‑53 victory over Detroit Renaissance March 11. "He's great every night," Renais‑ sance coach Vito Jordan told The De- troit News. "That's the 'X' factor. I don't even count that. That kid is always good." Winston scored 19 points to help lead Jesuit past Redford (Mich.) Thurston, 66‑51, March 16 and ad‑ vance to the regional title game against Farmington (Mich.) North Farmington March 18. Winston, who averages 25 points per game, has been at both Michi‑ gan and Michigan State several times since the summer, but he insists he doesn't have a favorite between the two. Other schools are also in play. "I hear from Marquette a lot," he said. "I've been to Ohio State. Michi‑ gan State is like the tough team, and Michigan's offense — they shoot a lot. Their styles are a lot different." And he's not sure which one he prefers, he added. They've both been recruiting him for the same amount of time, and when he compares and contrasts — and he does — neither
