IRISH IN THE PROS
BY RYAN TICE
N
otre Dame has been one of the most
prolific schools in producing tal-
ent for the NFL Draft, which is set for
April 30-May 2. The school has not
been as successful in the NBA Draft
— which is set for June 25 — but that
should be different this year. While the
football team has no surefire selections
for the top-end of the NFL Draft, the
basketball squad boasts its first first-
round prospect since 2002 with Ryan
Humphrey.
Fifth-year senior point guard Jer-
ian Grant wrapped up his career by
leading the Fighting Irish to an ACC
championship, the program's first-ever
conference title, and he was named the
tournament MVP. He then helped the
squad to an NCAA Tournament Elite
Eight appearance, where the Irish fell
to top-seeded Kentucky in a game that
went down to the wire.
Jerian Grant Projected To Be
A First-Round Pick
