she said, recalling her visit with Brennan. "All the other schools were basically in comparison to Penn State, and obviously, nothing else compares." With Williams set to arrive on campus later this month, the Lady Lions will soon be looking for ways to incorporate her into their lineup. She's known best for her rebounding, a discipline in which she displays the sort of intensity you would expect of a prospect from a family full of elite athletes. Her father, Brent Williams, spent 11 seasons in the NFL, playing for New England, Seattle and the New York Jets. Brennan was drafted by Houston in 2013 and in February signed a free-agent contract with Jacksonville, while Camren is coming up on his senior season with the Buckeyes. "She comes from a family of football players and, without question, it shows on the court," Washington said. "She is an aggressive rebounder, runs the 0oor very well and defends multiple positions. She will certainly ignite our transition game, and as her o1ensive game grows and 0ourishes, she will present matchup problems." Williams can hardly wait to begin her career. She said she feels "nervous and anxious and super excited," and she's looking to channel that excitement in a positive way for the Lady Lions as they regroup following a 6-24 /nish this past season. "I love to rebound and work hard and go hustle to every ball," Williams said. "I want to play really great defense for them and get defensive and o1ensive rebounds and help them in that way. "I hope to get a lot of playing time. I'll work my butt o1 to earn that playing time. I hope I can bring all the things I do well to the table and rebound and play defense and hustle and hopefully encourage my team to do the same and have a winning season and even make it to the tourna- ment." ■ AMARI CARTER "Amari is a silky smooth le2y with a scorer's mentality. She is a good 3-point shooter with the ability to create her own shot when she wants or needs to. She has good speed and can be a sti0ing on-ball de- fender." TENIYA PAGE "Teniya is a point guard in the truest sense of the word. She runs her team with aplomb and keeps opponents off-balance with her ability to both set up teammates and score at will. She has incredible court vision and a very high basket- ball IQ." ASHANTI THOMAS "Ashanti is a post player with tremendous athleticism. She will be a dominating presence in the paint for us. She gets up and down the 0oor like a guard, has great hands and is an outstanding leaper." ■ CO Q U ES E WA S H I N GTO N O N . . .
