MICHIGAN FOOTBALL ally in rushing, his 1,176 yards trail- ing only Northern Illinois senior Chandler Harnish's 1,379. With his total, combined with a 1,702-yard campaign in 2010 that did lead the nation's signal-callers, Robinson has become only the 12th quarterback in NCAA history with at least two 1,000-yard seasons. Two of the 12 played for Rich Ro- driguez — West Virginia's Pat White achieved the feat in 2006-07 and has set the NCAA career benchmark of 4,480 yards, which Robinson is chasing. Less than half, only five, hail from BCS conference schools — Mis- souri's Brad Smith, Nebraska's Eric Crouch, White, Robinson and Texas' Vince Young. Robinson is the only Big Ten quarterback to reach the ac- complishment with Crouch doing so before the Cornhuskers joined the conference. Michigan's quarterback currently ranks 13th all time in career rush- ing among signal-callers with 3,229 yards. He needs 771 yards in 2012 to become only the fourth QB with 4,000 yards, and needs 1,252 yards to topple White's record. Denard Robinson Completions 828 355 338 • Robinson connected on just nine throws in the win over the Hokies, giving him 338 completions for his career. He'll look to quickly overtake Brian Griese and move up this list next season. BEST ENTERING FINAL SEASON Denard Robinson sprinted and passed his way into Michigan's sta- tistical Who's Who a long time ago. He didn't enjoy his finest outing against a quick, aggressive Virginia Tech defense in the Sugar Bowl, but did enough to send the Wolverines celebrating into the offseason. Robinson also continued his own ROBINSON AMONG U-M'S march into the record books. Here's a rundown on where he stands on Michigan's all-time lists, heading into his senior season. Career Touchdown Passes Rk. Player 1. Chad Henne 5. Steve Smith 6. Denard Robinson TD Tosses 87 42 40 • Robinson fired a pair of TD passes in help- ing Michigan past Virginia Tech. He remained in the No. 6 spot on the Wolverines' all-time list, but he's in position to begin moving up again early next year. Career Passing Yards Rk. Player 1. Chad Henne 6. Tom Brady Yards 9,715 5,351 7. Denard Robinson 4,931 • Robinson threw for 117 yards against the Hokies — not a gaudy total, but enough to win the game and move past Steve Smith (4,860) on this list. Next up, the quarterback for the New England Patriots. Career Rushing Yards Rk. Player 1. Mike Hart 6. Chris Perry 7. Rob Lytle Yards 5,040 3,696 3,317 8. Denard Robinson 3,229 • Robinson rushed for a mere 13 yards in the showdown versus Virginia Tech. That didn't gain him any spots on Michigan's career rush- ing list, but Rob Lytle looms only 88 yards away in the No. 7 spot. Career Rushing Touchdowns Rk. Player 1. Anthony Thomas 4. Chris Perry 5. Denard Robinson Rushing TDs 55 39 35 • Robinson (and Michigan, for that matter) failed to cash in a rushing touchdown against the Hokies, leaving the junior quarterback in the No. 5 spot all time. He'll continue his climb in 2012, with Chris Perry just four touchdowns ahead. Rk. Player 1. Mike Hart 6. Rob Lytle 7. Denard Robinson Career 100-Yard Rushing Games 100-Yard Games 28 15 14 • Robinson remained at the No. 7 spot on Mich- igan's all-time list for 100-yard games. Lytle is only one up on him, and even with the running aspect of Robinson's game somewhat deempha- sized, he'll be moving up some as a senior. Career Total Offense Rk. Player 1. Chad Henne 2. John Navarre Total Offense 9,300 8,995 3. Denard Robinson 8,160 • Teams holding Robinson to 130 yards of total offense — like Virginia Tech did — is almost unheard-of. But the junior quarterback resumes his climb as a senior and — barring serious injury — will ultimately take his place at the top of this list. ❏
