116 ■ THE WOLFPACKER Top Five Wins For 2010 Class 1. 17-16 vs. Florida State, 2012: The Pack rallied from a 16-0 halftime deficit to beat No. 3 FSU, and the game- winning catch with 16 seconds left was a three-yard reception by wide receiver Bryan Underwood. Defensive tackle Thomas Teal had two tackles for loss and earned ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week notice for his effort. 2. 37-13 vs. Clemson, 2011: The Tigers had already clinched an ACC title game berth when they arrived in Raleigh, but they left with bruised egos after getting steamrolled by the Pack. Wide receiver Tobais Palmer caught three passes for 82 yards, including a highlight-worthy 43-yard catch-and-run score, but the star of the game from the 2010 class was defensive lineman Art Norman. He piled up three sacks and forced a fumble in the win. 3. 35-7 vs. North Carolina, 2014: NC State not only defeated its archrivals to end the 2014 regular season, the Pack manhandled them. Offensive tackles Tyson Chandler and Rob Crisp helped the Pack rush for 388 yards, tying for fourth most in a single game in school history. Defensively, Teal led the effort — with six tackles, including two for loss and a sack — that held UNC to 207 total yards. 4. 34-27 vs. Central Florida, 2014: NCSU defeated the defending Fiesta Bowl champs in the St. Petersburg Bowl. Crisp and Chandler helped the offense gain 487 yards (187 rushing and 300 passing) by allowing just two sacks. Defensively, Norman had a tackle for a loss in the victory. 5. 56-41 vs. Maryland, 2011: The Pack trailed 41-14 with 10:50 left in the third quarter after Terrapins running back Devin Meggett's 46-yard touchdown. The Wolfpack followed that score with six straight touchdowns. Palmer started the rally with a 15-yard scoring reception. Creecy also contributed two touchdown catches, and finished with 14 rushes for 49 yards and eight receptions for 52 yards. The victory was the second-greatest comeback in a confer - ence game in ACC history. 2010 Recruiting Class Players Signed In Class: 20 Players Enrolled in 2010: 18 (DT Raynard Randolph and S Peter Singer did not enroll) Played As A True Freshman: 6 (CB David Amerson, OT Rob Crisp, DL A.J. NC State was Reed's first major college coaching job when he joined the Pack staff in the winter of 2007. Previ- ously, Reed had a one-year stint as an assistant at Richmond and five years as a quality control assistant in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles. Reed played a largely complementary role in his first two recruiting cycles at NCSU, but in 2010 he was the lead recruiter for cornerback David Amerson and defensive end Art Norman, and assisted on the recruitment of defensive back Dontae Johnson. They are the top three on The Wolfpacker's list of five best recruits in the 2010 class. The Pack defeated Notre Dame for Amerson, beat out 10 other major offers for Johnson and unearthed a gem in Norman, who went into the final weeks before signing day without offers until NCSU took a chance on him. Running back Tony Creecy contributed 101 total yards and two touchdowns to help the Pack rally from a 27-point deficit in the fourth quarter to defeat Maryland 56-41 in 2011. PHOTO BY KEN MARTIN
