Palmer has bounced around practice squads in the NFL and signed a two-year contract with the Buffalo Bills this offseason. Raynard Randolph DT 0 Randolph never made it to NC State. He originally signed in 2009, attended Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Va., in 2010 and has been well travelled since. He matriculated at Butler Junior College in El Dorado, Kan., before transferring to West Virginia Wesleyan and finally ending up at Shepherd University, also in West Virginia. Theo Rich DE 0 Redshirted in 2010 and played five games, recording five tackles, in his rookie season. Rich was then dismissed from the team. He spent a year at junior college before playing out his career at South Alabama, piling up 47 tackles, 13 stops for loss and eight sacks last fall. He earned a mini-camp tryout with the Dallas Cowboys in May. Peter Singer DB 0 Chose to give up football before enrolling at NC State. Thomas Teal DT 33 Developed into a three-year starter at defensive tackle and had 135 total career tackles, including 30.5 for loss and 9.5 sacks. Also forced three fumbles and recovered one. Was named honorable mention All-ACC as a senior and selected as the team's defensive MVP. Bryan Underwood WR 12 Speedy wide receiver had a huge sophomore season, catching 44 passes for 620 yards and 10 touchdowns and recording a receiving score in a school-record eight straight games. Struggled to match that production his last two seasons and finished his career with 97 catches for 1,326 yards and 14 scores. He also rushed once for a touchdown. He is tied for eighth at NCSU in career receiving scores. Logan Winkles FB 5 Bruising fullback tore his ACL during his redshirt season in 2010, limiting him the following year. Emerged as the primary fullback in 2012, catching 10 passes for 90 yards and two scores, but he tore his ACL again the following summer. He was then dismissed from the team before the 2014 season. Winkles was given a tryout by the Kansas City Chiefs in May. The Final Grade: B This was the last relatively heralded class on paper during the Tom O'Brien tenure, and it produced some noticeable talent. Defensive backs David Amerson and Dontae Johnson are laying the foundations for their respective NFL careers, and wide receivers Bryan U n d e r wo o d a n d To b a i s Pa l m e r provided numerous big plays. Offensive tackles Tyson Chandler and Rob Crisp were mainstays when healthy, and defensive linemen Art Norman (end) and Thomas Teal (tackle) anchored that unit for much of their respective careers. Attrition and off the field issues kept the class from reaching its full potential, but it still played a large role in four bowl appearances, including three victories.
