"We weren't worried so much about the missed practices in the fall as we were about the emotional aspect of it," Avent said. "Brian was so close to his mother. At one point I wasn't sure he would finish the semester. "But when he came back in January he was so determined and so intent on doing well. He's also thinking about the season that just ended and looking ahead to what he expects will be an even better 2016. "We have a good group of guys com- ing back next year," Brown said. "It's just going to be a matter of bringing everyone together. We have the talent. We just need to pull together and go to work." ■ Wake Stone Corporation Five convenient locations to serve you with crushed stone: triangle Quarry Moncure Quarry I-40 at Harrison Ave. US 1 at Deep River 919-677-0050 919-755-7349 knightdale Quarry Hwy. 64 East 919-266-9266 nash Co.
