146 ■ THE WOLFPACKER ■ FOOTBALL RECRUITING 16. MYLES DORN, ATH Charlotte Vance High Dorn may be the best natural playmaker in the state. Some schools prefer him on defense, where the 6-2, 195-pound safety made 71 tackles as a junior. He also notched four interceptions (one of which he returned for a touchdown), broke up 11 passes, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble that he ran back for a score. Other programs, like NC State, prefer him on offense, where he caught 75 passes for 1,274 yards and 18 touchdowns. The Pack may have the inside edge after his older brother Torin Dorn announced in June he was transferring from Charlotte to NC State to play basketball. Rivals.com rates Dorn as a three-star recruit and the No. 51 athlete in the coun- try. He has also been offered by Boston College, Duke, Louisville, Miami, Michi- gan State, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Wake Forest and West Virginia, among others. His father, also Torin Dorn, played foot- ball for UNC in the late 1980s. 17. JORDON BROWN, RB Durham Southern High Brown is undersized at 5-11 and 185 pounds, but he overcomes that with a com- bination of toughness, ath- leticism and versatility. He was timed at 4.56 seconds at the Nike Opening Re- gional in Charlotte and had a 34.5-inch vertical leap. Last year, Brown ran 128 times for 919 yards and 16 touchdowns, and caught 34 passes for 523 yards and eight scores. Rivals.com rates him as a four-star talent, and the No. 5 all-purpose back and No. 230 overall player in the country. He had previously said North Carolina and Wake Forest were recruiting him the hardest, but that was before adding an offer from South Carolina in June. 18. DYLAN PARHAM, QB Southeast Raleigh High The development for Parham both physi- cally and at quarterback has been impressive. Parham went to the Nike Opening Regional in Washington, D.C., and measured 6-5 and 205 pounds. He was laser- timed at 4.84 seconds in the 40-yard dash, completed the shuttle in 4.55 seconds and had a 30.5-inch vertical. Is your den dated?
