in Mokhtar Al-Yamani from Tokyo, Japan. He attended St. Mary's International School in Tokyo, the same one that produced Michigan senior Bruno Ortiz and former Wolverines Miguel Ortiz (2010-13) and Ryutaro Kamiya (2011-14). AL-Yamani has posted times of 23.96 in the 50 freestyle, 52.20 in the 100 freestyle and 1:53.10 in the 200 freestyle. "Mokhtar is a middle distance freestyler from St. Mary's School in Japan, which is the same school that Ryutaro Kamiya and Miguel and Bruno Ortiz attended," Bottom said. "Those three men were not only great students, but they also had great discipline and very good technique. And all of those guys have developed to be great all-around Michigan Men. "These two internationals will add a world view and diversity to our squad that will help in the continued development of our team's understanding of how we all fit in this interconnected world." ❏ Michigan's Top-Five Male Olympic Sports Recruiting Classes Wrestling — Joe McFarland's incoming crew features three of the nation's top 60 incoming recruits. He trains with the Cliff Keen Wrestling Club in Ann Arbor, getting himself geared up for his Michigan career. "My goal is to be the best wrestler I can be going into college," he told the Lansing State Journal. "I'm waking up every day and training with Olympic guys. I enjoy the sport and want to be the best wrestler, person and friend I can be." Tennis — Michigan tennis pulled in a pair of five-stars in Myles Schalet and Gabe Tishman, who are not only very talented in their own right, they've teamed up as an extremely effective doubles tandem. When it comes to pack- age deals in recruiting, this ranks very high on the list. The class was ranked No. 16 nationally by TennisRecruiting.net. Michigan's incoming group didn't end with the two five-stars the Wolverines brought in during the early signing period. Four-star performer Lubomir Cuba, from Massapequa Park, N.Y., became a late signee, bolstering the ranks for Michigan tennis coach Adam Steinberg. "Lubo came to us really late, and we're lucky to have him," Steinberg said. "He's a highly ranked junior from New York, and he's another player who will have
