Dear Cavalier Fans,
Nothing short of spectacular describes the success of Vir-
ginia athletics during the 2014-15 academic year. Thousands
of individuals from coaches and student-athletes to donors,
fans and staff share in this success and the excitement that
comes when the program is recognized as one of the best in
the country.
This year, our teams won three national championships and
six ACC championships. The rowing team's varsity four boat
and two individuals also captured national championships. Tony Bennett and
Brian O'Connor received National Coach of the Year honors. Four head coaches
were named ACC Coaches of the Year. The men's programs won the Capital One
Cup competition and hundreds of All-America and All-ACC honors, academic
and athletic, were earned by our student-athletes. You can read more about these
outstanding accomplishments on pages 16-19.
As a member of the Virginia Athletics Foundation, you can take great joy in
knowing your financial support is invaluable to this overall success. Because of
your support, student-athlete scholarships were fully funded, academic support
was available for every student-athlete, operational needs were met and athletics
facilities remained among the nation's finest.
Virginia athletics in 2014-15 epitomized All In For Excellence. Without every-
one working together, this success would not have been possible. Thank you for
your generosity, enthusiasm and loyalty to Virginia athletics.
