Linebackers Cameron Brown and Shaka Toney committed on July 18 while on campus for the Lasch Bash bar- becue, and defensive end Karamo Dioubate followed suit on Aug. 16, revealing that he plans to sign with the Nittany Lions. Brown, a four-star prospect who attends the Bullis School in Potomac, Md., was coveted nationally, having earned more than 20 scholarship o4ers. He had nar- rowed his list to 10 schools in May: Penn State, Arizona State, Duke, Michigan State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Pitt, USC, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin. From that list, he later chose four 3nalists – Penn State, Notre Dame, Pitt and USC – with the Lions eventually earning his commit- ment. "I just loved the family atmosphere," Brown said. "Ever since I visited the 3rst time, I knew it was right for me and my family." At 6-foot-6, 210 pounds, Brown isn't a prototypical linebacker. His height makes him a potential candidate to move to de- fensive end at some point in his college ca- reer, but that will depend on how much he grows during his 3rst few years on campus. "If I'm able to put on 30 or 40 pounds, then they will probably give me a look at defensive end," he said. "They originally o4ered me [a scholarship as a] defensive end, but because they really wanted me and saw that other schools brought up linebacker, they just said that they want me on board and then they'll 3gure it out. I plan to play linebacker when I start, but VERBAL COMMITMENTS* F O O T B A L L R E C R U I T I N G
